The Spokane Sail and Power Squadron is a nonprofit organization that provides boating education for the Inland Northwest. We are comprised of boaters who collectively have decades of boating experience whether sail, power or even steam. Most of our boating is done in the lakes of North Idaho and the waters of Eastern Washington. We have members who regularly boat on Priest Lake, Lake Pend Oreille, Coeur d'Alene Lake, Lake Roosevelt and the Columbia River. Although most of our boating is done on inland waters we have members who have extensive experience on Puget Sound, the Inside Passage and Southeast Alaska.
Whether you are brand new to boating or whether you want to improve your expertise in marine related topics, we are likely to have courses or expertise to be of help. Not only do we offer formal courses, but in conjunction we can provide on the water training on your boat.
During the boating off season we have monthly meetings where we have a speaker providing useful or interesting talks that are boating related.
The Spokane Sail and Power Squadron is a local affiliate of the United States Power Squadron, a nonprofit boating education organization that is over 100 years old. Check out our website for courses of interest and boating links. Also take a look at some of the benefits and savings offered to our members. Contact us at 208 755 3796 or email at
